Powerful thunderstorms rumbled through Lincoln, Giles, Moore and Franklin Counties last night dumping a deluge of rain, downing trees and knocking out power as they went. Volunteers from the Flintville Station worked from old highway 64 east down through the Shady Grove Road area, using chainsaws to clear trees and debris and making roads and home accessible. Linemen with Fayetteville Public Utilities have worked throughout the night restoring power as quickly as possible. At this hour FPU is still reporting 87 customers without power, the majority of those are in southeastern Lincoln County There are 3 customers without power in Marshall County near the Lincoln County line.
